Editorial policy
How we write, test and decide what to publish — so you can trust every article you read on Apple Magic Blog.
Last updated: 3 September 2026
Editorial independence
Apple Magic Blog is independently owned and editorially independent. No advertiser, partner or manufacturer influences what we publish, the opinions we express or the order in which products appear.
Our only loyalty is to our readers.
How we test products
We test products in the conditions our audience actually experiences — on local networks, in warm climates, over realistic battery cycles and long usage periods. We do not rush reviews to hit launch days.
When a device is loaned by a manufacturer, we disclose it. We never accept payment for a positive review, and we typically keep the device after review to test long-term reliability.
- Real-world battery and performance testing
- Camera testing in varied light, including low light and bright sun
- Long-term reliability checks where relevant
- Clear pros, cons and a final scored verdict
Sourcing and accuracy
We attribute facts to their sources, distinguish between news, opinion and analysis, and correct errors promptly and visibly. If we report something that turns out to be wrong, we update the article and note the correction.
For pre-release products we clearly label content as based on early information, rumours or hands-on first impressions.
Ethics and conflicts of interest
We disclose any relevant relationships, and we separate editorial from advertising. Our journalists do not accept gifts, trips or favours that could compromise our independence.
If a conflict arises on a story, we recuse the writer and say so.
Sponsored content
We rarely publish sponsored content, and when we do it is always clearly labelled as such and never appears to be editorial. Sponsored content never intersects with our independent reviews.
Affiliate links are transparent and never change the outcome of a recommendation.
Corrections policy
If you spot an error, tell us at corrections@applemagic.blog. We review every report, correct genuine mistakes prominently, and keep a visible record of substantive corrections.
Comments and community
Our comment sections are moderated to keep conversations respectful and useful. We remove spam, abuse and misinformation. Moderation decisions are made consistently and fairly, and you can appeal by contacting support@applemagic.blog.
